Juan Williams Booed At Republican Debate

I could not stomach another Republican debate last night. They are a diversion for big money interests who want to make our political debate(?) about keeping economic opportunity from blacks (and the poor in general) in bastions of the Old South, like South Carolina. Noted journalist, Peggy Noonan, said this morning that there are parts of South Carolina that have over 20% unemployment! I remember that morning in January when John Boehner (R-OH) assumed the power of Speaker of the US House of Representatives. He announced that under his administration, “the mission of the Republican Partywill be JOBS, JOBS, JOBS!” Years have gone by and he has created no jobs and this shows disrespect to South Carolina, the “Republican King Maker State.” Are South Carolina’s

Republicans sheep or what? They are certainly not gullible. Is tradition and history more important to the white people who run South Carolina than making South Carolina a land of opportunity for all her citizens regardless of race, creed and color? What’s to be gained from clinging to past? There’s no need for cotton pickers in South Carolina anymore. Today, black people are educated and hold important jobs and will not be relegated to cleaning and cooking for the rich and powerful in their states. Mowing their lawns. Hauling away their garbage. My morning began with subject clip from last night’s debate. Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, who has been criticized for his overt racist hopes for black children to learn about the values of work through cleaning school toilets, was asked to defend his comments. Of course, Newt was embarrassed on national TV in front of whites he hoped shared his views on race in America and whose votes he needs to exact revenge on former Gov. Mitt Romney for having more money than he (Newt) had to best him (Newt) in recent GOP primaries. Instead of “manning up” and answering the black Fox journalist, Newt does what he always does: He used hatred for President Obama (who is only half black) to avoid being forced to be “truthful and “factual” on live TV with all Americans…No, the entire world watching! Newt’s success came when the audience of 3000 people in Myrtle Beach, SC, booed the black journalist who had the temerity to hold a powerful – although disgraced – white, Georgia politician accountable for his actions. I have never heard Newt Gingrich admit to being wrong. In fact, he “gets off” on being right! He still won’t admit that the US House’s $300,00 punishment was a “fine”or that he was forced out of Congress BECAUSE OF HIS ACTIONS!

Yes, Mr. Gingrich, “Work is great.” And, 14 million Americans would work if your job creator tax cheats would repatriate foreign profits and create domestic jobs and stop obstructing the American Jobs Act which would create jobs we need and you Republicans are directed to oppose by the TOP 1%, secret contributors to Republican SuperPacs and those corporations who will prosper by denying re-election to our first black President…just because he is a Democrat and a “Warrior for the Middle-Class!” You and your supporters should remember this admonition from The Bible: What you do in the dark will be brought to light! What a day of reckoning that will be!

One noted political analyst, Mark Halpern (MSNBC) gave Newt a grade of “A-” on his performance last night. Let’s hope that those who booed the calling out of racism in South Carolina are only a vestige of South Carolina’s historical relationship with the sons and daughters of the Africans they forced to immigrate to America and be slave labor. Newt you spoke of ‘people being uncomfortable with facts.’ You, sir, reject the FACT that there are more whites on Food Stamps than blacks or Latinos. Your lies to the contrary are immoral! You owe us, blacks, an apology!
